Recent Reviews for Bellbird Spring Dry Pinot Gris 2011

We have had some great reviews recently for this wine.

Bellbird Spring Dry Pinot Gris.  The 2011 vintage (4*) “ …  full-bodied and dry.  … Slightly Chardonnay-like, but full of interest, it has sweet-fruit characters and lots of peachy, nutty, creamy flavour. A powerful wine, rich and rounded, it’s a drink-now or cellaring proposition …”

Bellbird Spring Dry Pinot Gris 2011 was recently listed by in the Top 5 wines tasted at the latest New Zealand New Release tasting in London.  “17[/20] Drink 2013-2016 RS 4.5 g/l. Barrel fermented but older oak, so it is surprising how oaky it seems on the nose and palate, lots of spice and a touch smoky and scented. Rich fruit underneath. Creamy and long and the fruit is holding its own with an attractively sour finish. (JH) 14%”
