Anthony Gismondi reviews Bellbird Spring Block Eight Sauvignon Blanc

Another great review from the Canadian wine writer Anthony Gismondi.

91/100 Bellbird Spring Block Eight Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Waipara Valley, South Island, New Zealand

A riper style sauvignon barrel fermented in older oak. Smoky, melon, passion fruit, honey, mandarin, nettle aromas with a hint of jalapeno. Ripe, round, rich, juicy and creamy palate with good acidity. Grapefruit, honey, mango, melon, grassy, orange, jalapeno and vanilla flavours. Good length and finesse with a creamy, fruity finish. Drink now-2 years.
